We didnt have long with the Spicer sisters...Kate Spicer, leading lifestyle journalist, contributing features writer for Sunday Times Style, food critic, extreme sport lover and one of the sassiest ladies T&H have ever met; and her sister Georgina Spicer beauty pr and make-up artist (whose regular clients include Sam Taylor-Wood).

Kate had just got back from cultural jaunt to Istanbul via a wedding in Ibiza and was on her way to lunch at Quo Vadis and Georgie was off to a we immersed ourselves in Spicer world while we could. What a rivet these ladies were! Brown (from hols), Kate has a great 20's bob which gave everything she tried on the instant appeal of an Arnold Genthe portrait.

Kate wears Chiton kaftan in Africa with vintage Terry De Havilland wedges, brown leather bag from boutique Dos Lunas Ibzia with vintage Ascher scarf in burnt orange, Hero kaftan in Starlings navy/pink and Pareo in Big Bird Orange. Georgie wears, Classic Short kaftan in Starlings navy/pink and Chiton in marine black worn with black vintage Terry De Havilland Wedges.

    T&H: Most memorable holiday food
KS: The fresh fish sandwiches from Eminonu (a major hub and ferry port in Instanbul). The fish, which comes straight off the boats, is charcoal grilled and served with bread, onion and lemon so simple and so delicious!
GS: Grilled fish, vegetables and rice eaten on the beach in Goa.

    T&H: ...and to drink?
    KS: Rose
GS: Lassi (preferably drunk on a beach in India)

T&H: Georgie, favourite holiday beauty tips?:
GS: The So Spa at the Sofitel Hotel in St James does some lovely treatments, try one by Cinq Mondes. I also love the Pâte de Fleurs Cleanser by Cinq Mondes and I always use Caudalie Beauty Elixir for an instant burst of radiance to the complexion. Oh and Chantecaille Future Skin Foundation is the best i ever used, it's oil free and super light!

T&H: Favourite piece from the collection
KS: The Chiton kaftan in Africa i love the bold deep red / beige print and its versatility of wear. I really like the super-size pareo in the orange bird print too, i love orange it's one of my favourite colours.
GS: The Classic Short kaftan in Starlings navy/pink, its gorgeous and navy is such a classic colour.

T&H: Kate we're very much admiring your gorgeous leather bag, where's it from?
I bought the bag (365 euros) from Boutique Dos Lunas housed in the restaurant Las Dos Dunas, San Rafel, Ibizia. I love it, the leather has worn really well.

T&H: Georgie we're loving your sunglasses, where are they from?
    GS: Roberto Cavalli

Juliet Kinsman Editor-in-Chief Mr & Mrs Smith wears Tallulah & Hope kaftan

Juliet Kinsman, Editor-in-Chief of Mr & Mrs Smith boutique travel specialists, and Kensal Green resident talks to T&H and shares some great travel tips. (Her blog for her West London neighbourhood celebrates people and places in Queens Park, Kensal Green and the surrounding area – it's a must for local info). Juliet wears Classic Long kaftan in teal over black silk Slip.

Juliet has the kind of energy you would expect from a woman with a global schedule. Her quest to deliver style, service and original hotel experiences for the discerning traveller takes her all over the world, most recently New York, Mykonos, South of France, Berlin, Thailand and Italy.
"I love my job," she enthuses, "It's a complete privilege to travel to so many exciting places and meet such interesting people." Juliet regularly shares her travel and interior design thoughts in The Observer through to The Sunday Times Style magazine and The New York Times.

T&H: Where have you been recently that you recommend?
JK: Mykonos actually, where I stayed in an amazing luxury villa called Villa Orpheus (see picture above)– it was like taking over your very own boutique hotel – and it's owned by the loveliest couple. I also visited Puglia in Southern Italy, where I saw some great masserias and trulli (see pictures above) – such a beautiful part of the world. We also headed to the less well-known region of Basilicata and stayed in Le Grotte della Civita (see pictures above) in Matera. Originally cave dwellings in the ancient rock, it’s now an extraordinary luxury hideaway thanks to 10 years of painstaking restoration. Every detail of the low-key-luxury furnishings is antique – it's an incredible experience, and it would be a great place for a romantic autumn weekend away.

T&H: What about the ol’ ‘staycation’?
JK: Colourful and a bit kooky, Cliff Barns is definitely somewhere unique!
T&H: Does it look like Southfork?
JK: Ha ha, no it's a kitsch private house in Norfolk purpose built for fun times for all the family or a big group of friends.

T&H: Top tip for finding flights?
JK: Skyscanner, everytime! It tells you most flights available for connections all over the world. Or if you have an iPhone, great apps are Next Flight (£1.79) which details all upcoming departures. And then keep track of all your transits with Flight Status (£1.79).

    T&H: Favourite travel blogs?
Our Mr & Mrs Smith blog is great for insider hotel advice and inspiring tip-offs from our travels and I also love The New York Times' T magazine's travel blog which I also contribute to.

T&H are particularly enjoying your new hotel guidebook from Mr & Mrs Smith Hotel Collection France
Thank you so much! I can just envisage some gorgeous holidaymakers sporting your kaftans by the pool at one of the Côte d’Azur properties, or popping on their poncho while on a glam city break in Paris.

Sadie, UK PR Director of Ralph Lauren, wears Hero kaftan in Liberty umbel print

Sadie Mantovani is the UK PR Director for Ralph Lauren and knows a thing or two about luxury fashion. She shared some of her recent holiday pictures, travel and holiday beauty tips with T&H. Sadie wears Hero silk kaftan in Umbel blue/grey.

T&H: where did you holiday this summer?
Sadie: I went to two beautiful Greek islands, Kephalonia (see pic above of beautiful Myrtos Beach) and Spetses. The weekend before, I was in Marbella.
T&H: loving the gold shoes you're wearing in the above pic with your Hero kaftan, where from?
    Sadie: Louboutin.
    T&H: Favourite piece from T&H?
Sadie: the Hero kaftan in Umbel, i love you the way you can throw it over a bikini for day and then wear it over a slip tied with a scrunchie for evening and it packs to nothing!
T&H: would you recommend any particular hotel from this trip?
Sadie: Both places I stayed were wonderful - the Emelisse in Kephalonia and the Poseidonion Grace in Spetses (pics above of pool and hotel front in Spetses). There are no cars allowed on Spetses which makes it particularly lovely.
T&H: your favourite holiday beauty tips / products?
Sadie: My Flutter permanent eyelash extensions which mean I don’t have to wear any mascara and which miraculously stay on despite suncreams, sweat and splashing! This year I discovered a new holiday must-have, Total Treatment Facial Mask by Yes To Tomatoes. It’s really quick and takes any redness after spending too much time in the sun. I also started using Apot Care products before going away and during my holiday, and found a real improvement in the smoothness of my skin, and the products seem to have maintained the radiance and even skin tone post-holiday.

T&H: your favourite holiday destination so far?
Sadie: Has to be Peru where I went for my honeymoon, and the best hotel I have stayed in is Las Ventanas in Cabo, Mexico. We were so well looked after with our own butler, massages on your balcony etc…heaven.
    T&H: your favourite holiday read?
Sadie: This holiday I read ‘The Lacuna’ by Barbara Kingsolver, ‘The Long Song’ by Andrea Levy, ‘The Rose of Sebastopol’ by Katharine McMahon, and the Greek translation of Victoria Hislop’s ‘The Return’, as I am getting back into reading in another language. Great holiday reads are anything by Isabel Allende or John Irving.
