Princess Marie Chantal has donated this beautifully classic Bottega Veneta clutch for the Redistributing Fashion on Friday 16th March 2012
10am-8pm at the 20th Century Theatre (Portobello & Westbourne Grove) W11 2QA. The clutch has a silver plaque inside with an inscription to the Princess. The pop-sale fashion event will see a selection of independent brands coming together to help raise funds for the Portobello Trust a charity that works with over 750 disadvantaged youth in W11. Tallulah & Hope will be hosting a stall selling a selection of vintage ascher cotton scarves, silk kaftans, silk dress / beach cover-ups, cotton pareos, cotton beach dresses and beautiful navy ponchos.

As fans of swimming pools, cats and Slim Aarons this photograph really ticked all our boxes! When we first started designing our silk kaftan collection for Tallulah & Hope we were so inspired by Slim Aarons coffee table books filled with beautiful images of the rich and fabulous holidaying around the world. We set out to design beautiful kaftans that today’s modern woman would want to wear on holiday and the pages of sun drenched amazing locations that Silm Aarons is so famous for were certainly put us in the mood for designing chic beach cover-ups and luxury beach wear.

Along with kaftans our other obsession at T&H is scarves! There is something very luxurious about wearing a silk scarf around the neck maybe because silk feels so lovely against the skin and it’s an accessory that can instantly transform an outfit. This is a scarf we produced for the December CIRCUS christmas shopping event in one of our limited edition signature prints, Sandgrouse red/beige.

This is the T&H ‘Scarf-Shack’ build starts tomorrow for the Circus shopping festival 14-18th December in Shoredtich’s Tramshed. Our pop-up shop will be scarf fest, the wooden structure will be strewn with cotton vintage Ascher scarves in an large array of prints and colours all the Ascher scarves were screen printed by hand in the 70′s they have an impeccable fashion pedigree. We will also be selling our super-size cotton pareos which also make generous neck scarves, screen printed in Italy along side a gorgeous selection of silk scarves in T&H limited edition prints. Scarf prices will range from £20 – £75 so and we will also be selling our stylist suede scarf belts. Our Circle Cape Poncho 100% merino wool in navy will also be featuring in our pop-up.

CIRCUS, 14-18th DECEMEBER BRITISH SHOPPING FESTIVAL

T&H are joining the CIRCUS! Over five days in December, CIRCUS will see a cherry picked selection of the most exciting emerging British design and fashion labels set up shop in the heart of East London in the theatrical setting of a disused power station. The event will feature show-stopping labels across homewares, fashion, ceramics, jewellery art and accessories amongst many more . Each label will create their very own Pop Up shop which pushes the standard boundaries of retail presentation; the more imaginative, the better! The T&H pop-up shop at Circus will offer an array of vintage Ascher cotton scarves, stunning silk scarves featuring our own exclusive prints, super-sized, super-luxe cotton scarves & pareos, suede scarf belts and classic wool ponchos. The event will also see a Christmas bakery and cafe by Lily Vanilli , Christmas trees and florist, a cider and mulled wine bar as well as a pop-up restaurant from the Blanch and Shock culinary wizards. From the Friday- Sunday the venue will also play host to a Fashion Trunk Show which will see fashion luminaries selling their wares with voluntary donations going to CRISIS.
